Pink Dot SG is an annual event in Singapore that advocates for LGBTQ+ inclusivity, diversity, and the freedom to love. The event’s name, “Pink Dot,” symbolizes inclusivity, combining red and white—the colors of Singapore’s national flag—to form pink, which also matches the color of Singaporean identity cards. Over the years, Pink Dot SG has grown significantly, with attendance reaching approximately 28,000 in 2015. The event features concert performances, community booths, and culminates in participants forming a “pink dot” to visually represent support for LGBTQ+ rights. Despite challenges, including restrictions on foreign sponsorships and participation, Pink Dot SG has remained a resilient platform for advocating LGBTQ+ rights in Singapore. The 2025 event is scheduled for June 28 at Hong Lim Park, continuing its tradition of promoting love and inclusivity.
