Every Pride, Every Place, Every Story

The Nashville Pride Festival is Tennessee’s largest LGBTQ+ event, dedicated to celebrating diversity, inclusivity, and the ongoing fight for equal rights. The inaugural Pride parade took place on June 25, 1988, with approximately 250 participants marching from Fannie Mae Dees Park to Centennial Park. This landmark event was organized with assistance from the National Gay and Lesbian Task Force and marked a significant moment in Nashville’s LGBTQ+ history. Over the years, the festival has experienced remarkable growth. In 2015, coinciding with the Supreme Court’s ruling in favor of same-sex marriage, attendance reached approximately 15,000 to 20,000 people. By 2019, the festival drew a record crowd of over 75,000 attendees during its two-day celebration. The event features a vibrant parade, live entertainment across multiple stages, numerous vendors, food trucks, and dedicated areas for families and youth.
